About Me

Hey Beauties,

A little about me: My name is Kenya and this is my blog. :) I'm an American of African descent, as well as other backgrounds I'm sure, but this is the one I identify with the most. (This is part of my identity but can not define who I am.) From my ancestors I have inherited hips, lips, and wonderful kinky-curly hair. I am absolutely fascinated that the coils that grow from my head.

HAIR

My mane is the epitome of me: strong yet fragile, versatile yet stubborn as an ox. I cannot say enough about the love, frustration, and happiness that comes with me being natural. This blog is my 4B/C natural hair care journey, with some love, fashion, and life along the way.

MOMMYHOOD

My life includes me being a full time mom to the most lovely of little girls. My little flower is smart, loving, and talented. She will included in this blog just as she is infused into every aspect of my life. She is the best parts of me balled into a little bundle of energy. She such a strong little girl and I will blog some of our happenings, the ups and downs, that we share. I know other mothers will understand me in what those ups and downs are!

*FLASH* FASHION  *FLASH*

I do not consider myself a "fashionista" but I love fashion. This is because I am a single mom with a budget. I refuse to pay more for an outfit than I do on food in a month.... correction, I would rather spend it on food! ((now, I AM a foodie)) I will blog on fashion but in a different... fashion (pun intended). I look for those rock bottom prices, I am the BOGO queen. I hope you enjoy!

<3 LOVE <3

If love was a college major I would be a 2nd year senior with no idea when graduation is. I mean to say, I have learned so much from dating, marriage, and divorce. My gained knowledge has helped me tremendously in my current love life, however,  like most I still do not understand it all.

I am now sharing my life with a wonderful, gentle, (but very tough ;)) man. I will share bit of this with you, not as in stiff lessons-learned but as in  "girl talk" over martinis. ;) Not too much though, he might be reading.

I have tried to include as much about me as possible, if I missed anything just contact me. Until then, I hope you, my beauties, appreciate my opinions!

With love,

Kenya
