Hello Beautiful

Well hellooooo beautiful,

I am a first time blogger so I am still getting use to the water so to speak. I just felt the urge to add to the beauty of the internet and maybe bond with someone who believes in what I do.  I know you are out there!

I will discuss all things lovely, mostly my journey with natural hair care. I am absolutely fascinated that the coils that grow from my head. My mane is the epitome of me: strong yet fragile, versatile yet stubborn as an ox. I cannot say enough about the love, frustration, and happiness that comes with me being natural. I want to share my regimen and how it has grown and morphed into the simplest form. I want to encourage those 4C ladies out there, like some other 4Cs encouraged me. If you are a 4C you know what I'm talking about!

There are ups and downs on any journey and this one is no different. I want to speak of the joy of the perfect blow out and the pain of the thing most black women do not want to discuss. I want to cover all of the bases.

I also love fashion. Not in the buy $1000 pair of shoes because I saw Rihanna wearing them kind of fashion but the - OMG last one on the shelf at half price - kind of fashion. I love chic, sexy, comfortable, and fabulous clothes that make you feel as good as you look and won't break the bank. I will admit that I am not a trendy person.... actually I steer clear of anything that might even look like a band wagon. Admittedly, I do find some pieces hard to pass up (love me a pair of brightly colored pants) so I add them to my closet.

For me and many women, makeup that goes with your features and style is hard to come by so I will include what I have found to work for me. For example, my lips are full (no plumper necessary), so for the longest time I stayed away from colors. I have now perfected a way to get fierce red lips without the pain of bleeding color, creasing, or looking like a clown. YAY!

I will be giving my two cents on the beauty of life. SO, I will blog about many things besides what I listed above. I hope you, my beauties, appreciate my opinions!

With love,

Kenya
